Nashville solar installers: How they can advise you about the rebates and incentives offered to you for switching to solar power.Memphis
Memphis solar installers: What you can expect from an initial consultation and ways you can save money. For more than a century, oil and other fossil fuels have been our primary source of energy in this country. Just about everything in our modern world is dependent on electricity, the vast majority of which is generated through the burning of these fossil fuels. Unfortunately, we are beginning to see the negative impact that such energy production is having on the global environment as well as local ecologies, and as such many people are trying to move to a more renewable form of power. Many states throughout the union have begun to develop programs to encourage the use of such energy sources; however, much to the dismay of Tennessee solar installers, Tennessee is not on this list.
The state of Tennessee is home to some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the entire country. It boasts majestic mountains, rivers, streams, and lakes; all of which have defined the unique culture that has developed there over the centuries. However, despite its natural beauty it seems that there is little interest in protecting this unique environment, at least not by the state’s legislature. Tennessee ranks near the bottom when it comes to state-sponsored programs designed to encourage the use of more environmentally friendly and renewable energy sources such as solar power.
Truth be told, “solar” seems to be a dirty word when it comes to the state’s interest in renewable energy. Tennessee solar installers are faced with the fact that their state government has virtually no alternative energy incentive programs in place, nor do they seem interested in developing any. Governmental rebates for purchasing solar equipment are non-existent and what’s more, largely accepted net-metering programs are scoffed at by most local government officials. This blasé approach to renewable energy production has largely stifled the expansion of responsible energy production throughout the state, forcing home and business owners to rely on fossil fuels for electricity production, whether they want to or not.
There is good news, however, Tennessee solar installers can help the residents of Tennessee take advantage of the many federally sponsored incentive programs that are available. Most of these programs are based on a rebate system, meaning that while the initial costs of installation are the responsibility of the home or business owner, some of these costs can at least be recouped. Many of these rebates are structured as tax write offs, but they can still help to ease the financial burden of making the switch to solar power. And of course, once these systems are installed, the electricity they produce is basically free of charge and can significantly reduce one’s monthly energy bills, and in some cases eliminate them altogether.
There is no doubt that solar energy is a long-term investment, but the benefits can be substantial. Hopefully, the Tennessee state government will eventually come around and help support these efforts. Until that time, Tennessee solar installers will be facing an uphill battle when it comes to promoting a cleaner, more renewable way to provide electricity for the residents of this great state.
